Information for the Open Class (200 Supers) to be held in conjunction with the Young Guns Event on 17 January 2010 follows:

(as per AKA Rule Book 2010 Chapter 27 - Criteria for engines/weight)

Tyres
MG  FZ Yellows   (1 Set plus 1)

Wet Tyres
Any Group 2 CIK (1 Set plus 1)

Fuel
Control fuel or Elf Euro CIK 102

Front Brakes
Allowed. All versions

Licence
Minimum AKA B Grade or higher

Weights
As per formula below:

Twin Yamaha S and ARC 155 kgs
Twin Air Cooled piston port 165 kg
Twin Piston port Water Cooled 170 kgs
Twin Reed or Rotary Valve (Pre 1998) 170 kgs
Twin Reed or Rotary Valve Air cooled 185 kgs
Twin Reed or Rotary Valve Water Cooled 190 kgs

Division Two :  (Heavy Drivers)
Twin Yamaha S and ARC 180 kgs
Twin Piston Port Air Cooled 190 kgs

Chassis
Must comply with current kart formula

Engines
Must be series production and AKA Homologated.
Two stroke only with one single throat carburettor per motor
Twin engines with a maximum total Cylinder volume of two times the relevant engine in the AKA manual.
Four engines in total permitted to be used during the meeting.
Clutches and Electric starters permitted.
Engines must conform to the relevant motor chapter in AKA manual 2010.
Air boxes must be CIK approved.
Auto chokes permitted
Exhaust systems must be AKA approved and can be modified for fitting to chassis
Class promoters reserve the right to adjust class weights if deemed necessary for safety,parity etc.

RACE FORMAT:
Heat 1 x 10 laps (Draw for grid)

Open Class only
Heat 2 x 10 laps (Reverse of Grid)
Heat 3 x 12 laps (Lowest points to the front)
Final x 15 laps (Lowest points to the front)
First over the line in the final is the winner

RACE FORMAT:
Heat 1 x 8 laps (Draw for grid)
Heat 2 x 8 laps (Reverse of Grid)
Heat 3 x 10 laps (Lowest points to the front)
Final x 12 laps (Lowest points to the front)

First over the line in the final is the winner

Weights :
As per 2009 AKA Manual and relevant Addendums

Prizes:
1st, 2nd and 3rd Depending on entry numbers at close of Entries

Scrutineering:
Saturday 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM      Sunday 7.00AM  to 8.30AM

Practice:
Saturday 12 noon to 5 PM

Carbie Session:
Sunday 8.00am to 9.00 am

Drivers Briefing:
Sunday 9.00 am

Racing Starts:
Sunday 9.15am

Notes:
1. Any person sharing karts or equipment with other competitors must clearly show this at the top of the entry form to allow officials to formulate the program.
2. Please bring your plastic licence with you as we will be using the new licensing system
3. The Mechanical Breakdown Lane WILL NOT be in use
4. The Red and Blue Diagonal Flag MAY be used in this event. Refer  Rule 15.13 as per Stewards/Clerk of Course Discretion.
5. Admission to the complex will be free before 8am on Sunday
6. Some classes may be deleted or combined depending on entries
7. No Pets Permitted in the Pit Area.
8. No Bikes,Scooters or Ball Sports in Pit Area.
9. Please note that items left at the track overnight are your own responsibility.
