allocated a position based on order of crossing the electronic timing loop
after race start. Non starter=

be allocated points in qualifying order behind all starters. Grid positions for Final are based =
on the
points gained during the 3 Heats.
Driver with the lowest points to grid 1, next to grid 2 and so on up=
to
track capacity, compete in the Final.
Drivers with equal points up to track capacity, grid positions will =

Kart Retrieval Pit
Crew with trolleys will NOT be given access to the circuit during qualifying
and racing. 12. Blue & Red Flag: The
blue and red double diagonal flag as detailed in Rule 15.13 will be used
throughout this meeting. . 13.
Abandonment or Postponement: The
Organisers reserve the right at their sole discretion to abandon, postpone,=
or
cancel any event(s), subject to R19.02, R11.09. 14.
Insurance: Has
been affected for this Meeting in accordance with Chapter 3.of the 2008 AKA
Manual From Friday 21st March 2008 all nominated pit
crew entering the ‘In-Grid or Out-Grid’ must have on display at all times their 2008 Pit Crew =

Noise Levels: Maximum
Noise levels shall be in accordance with Chapter 24. The nominated judge of
fact for noise measurement levels shall be Neil Richardson 16.
Fuel: Competitors attention is drawn to chapt=
er 22 Rule
22.01 7 & 9 of the AKA Karting Manual. The
following controlled fuel requirements will be in place for this meeting. a.
The only fuel to be used at this meeting is Premium Unleaded Petrol 98
Octane BP Ultimate purchased from BP Invermay, 32 Invermay Road, Launceston=
and
MUST be used from Friday 21st March to Sunday 23 b.
Fuel will be available=
for
purchase from Wednesday 19/3/2008 to Sunday 23/3/2008 INCLUSIVE. c. Random samples of
competitor’s fuel will be taken during the course of the meeting and
tested for conformity with samples taken from this supplier on these dates.=
c. Competitors are reminded that=
fuel
tank and drums should be empty prior to being used for fuel purchased for u=
se
at this meeting. &=
nbsp; d. No dumping of fuel will be al=
lowed
on site. &=
nbsp; 17.
Judges of Fact: 18.
Racing Numbers: A
maximum of two (2) digits, with numbers allocated by organisers using numbe=
rs
as received where possible. Number Plates as per Rule 25.13. Sidepod numbers must be clearly visible. Number
1 will be reserved for National Champions in each class. The
Race Secretary reserves the right to allocate / change race numbers at the
event as per rule 19.28. The
Race Secretary’s decision in this matter will be final. 19. Pit Spaces: Spaces
are available in the Pit / Paddock area and bookings are essential. Bookings
may be made by returning the attached Pit Allocation Form with Entry Form. =
The
pit space size per entry is 3m x 3m. Trailer pitting will be available. For
teams wishing to erect marquees it is necessary to indicate your requiremen=
ts early so as sufficient space will=
be
made available. Please contact Trevor Parker. Details on Pit allocation for=
m. 20.
Timing: a) Timing will be underta=
ken
with the AMB TRANX 160 Transponder Timing System. =
b) Transponder holders mu=
st be
used on all karts. The transponder holder must be mounted on the left hand =
side
pod 300mm from the kingpin. It is the responsibility of all drivers to ensu=
re
that they are equipped with their transponder before each race. Transponder holders will be available for purcha=
se
from the Race Secretary Office for a fee of $10.00 21.
Engine Sealing: Please
ensure that all engines have the appropriate sealing nuts as per Rule 19.33=
and
20.20 22.
Tyre Pooling: Tyre
pooling will occur at this meeting as per rule 23.11. Tyres will be availab=
le
at the designated times. It is the drivers responsibility to collect his/her
tyres between the stated times. All tyres will be marked with a unique ID. =
Any
deterioration to the control markings on the tyres, after fitting tyres, mu=
st
be reported to the scrutineer immediately for rectification. Damaged or worn
tyres (by way of force majeure) must be reported to and be inspected by the
Chief Scrutineer prior to the kart leaving the grid/impound area,
replacement(s) will be at the competitors cost. Drivers receiving
replacement(s) will be required to =
start
at the rear of the grid in the next heat / final of that event as per Rule
23.11. NB.
All competitors to supply their own wet weather tyres and must present them=
for
marking to the nominated area when directed. 23.
Vehicle/ trailer access: No
vehicles (excluding transporters and trailers) will be permitted in the Pit
area during racing. Limited
trade areas will be made available to Traders on application at the discret=
ion/
approval of the Organisers. 24.
Security: Security
will be provided from Monday 17th March to Sunday 23rd
March 2008. Security will be on site from 8.00pm to 6.00am. 25.
Camping and Pets: Camping
is not permitted. Animals are=
not
allowed, excluding guide dogs for the vision impaired. 26. Pit Area Con=
trols: No smoking or welding allowed in the pit areas. No dumping of Fuel on site. No dumping of tyres on site. Scooters, skateboards and pushbikes not allowed in pit area or on the
