Launceston Kart Club

The first club practice day for 2012 will be held on Sunday 26 February starting at 10:00. All members are welcome to attend.

Please note that this is an unnoficial practice day and not a club day as we currently cannot secure officials to run the day as a club day. Consequently you will not be able to obtain licence endorsements.

The January club meeting will be held on 11 January starting at 7:30pm and not on 4 January.

Please note that from 1 January 2012 the track is to be driven in a anticlockwise direction only. That means when you leave the out-grid you need to turn right.

If you want to become an official, schools are being held on the following dates:

11 February - STKC track at Orielton

14 April - NWKC track at Highclere

5 May - LKC at Archerville

The schools are being revamped to run for a shorter time on the Saturday, with a greater emphasis on meeting paperwork and with more emphasis on ‘on the job’ mentoring on the Sunday. This is where any new officials coming along will be shadowing more experienced officials.

The September round of the FT Guy 2011 Club Day Series was held on Sunday 25 September.

The day was a blast, with beautiful weather, a pretty good field of racers.

The 2011 Tasmanian Sprint Kart Championships are being held at the Archerville Circuit on Friday 18, Saturday 19, and Sunday 20 November 2011.

Entrants must hold a current A, B or C grade AKA Licence. Provisional Licence holders are not eligible - Rule 20.19

The entry fee in all classes will be $165.00 including GST, plus costs of the tyre pooling: per kart, per class which must be paid by direct deposit to the Launceston Kart Club.
